Guide 1 · Welcome
Welcome to Runners Gateway
I’m glad you’re here.
You might be thinking about your first run, finding your way back after time away, or looking for a way to make movement fit into a busy life. You might prefer walking. There is a place for you here.
Runners Gateway is built around a simple belief: ordinary people can make meaningful changes through small, repeatable steps. What that change looks like is yours to decide. It might be a first 5 km, a regular walk with a friend, or some time outside that belongs to you.
Walking counts. A slower pace counts. Beginning again counts. You do not have to earn your place by reaching a distance or looking a particular way.
My hope is that you find useful guidance here, along with encouragement to try an approach that suits your circumstances. Some days that may mean taking a step forward. On others it may mean changing the plan or giving yourself space to rest.
You will hear “Progress over perfection” around Runners Gateway. For me, that means leaving room for real life. A routine can change. A goal can change. You can return to something you have left for a while.
You can read Pathway without joining. Start with something that speaks to where you are today, and come back when another question arises.
