Simple terms for a useful, private membership.

Your agreement with us

These terms are between you and Gary Robert Wilmot, trading as Avallach Technology (ABN 37 177 187 798), the operator of Runners Gateway Network.

By activating an RGN membership, you confirm that you have read and accepted the version of these terms shown during activation. You can browse public RGN pages and complete the Weekly Running Quiz without accepting these terms or creating an account.

Who can join

RGN membership is currently available only to people aged 18 or over. By joining, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

The public Quiz remains available without membership. Please do not create an RGN membership for someone under 18 or ask another person to create one on their behalf.

Your Runners Gateway identity

Your email address and password are used for your Runners Gateway identity. Changing them through RGN also changes how you sign in to other Runners Gateway services that use the same identity.

An existing Runners Gateway user may sign in with the same email address and password, but must still activate RGN and accept these terms. Joining RGN does not create or import another profile, follow an account, enrol you in a programme or expose content from another Runners Gateway service.

Keep your password private and tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it results from a failure by RGN that you could not reasonably prevent.

Quiz and private history

The Weekly Running Quiz is an informal experience for enjoyment and running knowledge. It is not a competition, qualification, professional assessment or independently verified record.

After seeing a complete result, RGN saves the first result for an active signed-in member. Other visitors may choose to save it. RGN keeps one saved result for each edition. If you complete an edition again, the existing result changes only when you deliberately confirm its replacement.

Quiz facts and sources can need correction as information changes. RGN may correct an edition and will identify a material correction in the answer review where appropriate.

Using RGN responsibly

When you use RGN, you agree not to:

• break the law or encourage another person to do so;
• use another person's account or misrepresent who you are;
• interfere with the service, its security controls or another person's access;
• use automated requests, scraping or other methods that place an unreasonable load on RGN; or
• copy or commercially exploit RGN content except where the law or a separate written permission allows it.

The RGN name, design and original content belong to the operator or the relevant rights holder. Your ordinary personal use of the service does not transfer those rights to you.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep RGN accurate, secure and available, but internet services sometimes experience maintenance, delay or failure. We may correct, improve, limit or withdraw a feature when needed to protect customers, keep information accurate or operate the service responsibly.

If these terms change materially, the updated date and version will change. Where continued membership needs new acceptance, RGN will ask you clearly rather than treating unrelated public use as agreement.

Closing your RGN membership

You can close your RGN membership from Account after confirming the action. Closing permanently deletes your RGN member details and saved Quiz history.

Closing RGN does not delete your shared Runners Gateway login or information held by another Runners Gateway service. Full shared identity deletion is not part of the current RGN membership service while those other services remain in operation.

Privacy

The RGN Privacy page explains what information we handle, why we use it, the essential storage the service needs, and your access, correction, export and closure choices.

Your email address, private display name and saved Quiz history are not public in RGN.

Rights and contact

Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, RGN is not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control or by use of the service contrary to these terms.
