Notice what supports your wellbeing
Wellbeing is broader than a training result. Food, rest, relationships, work, environment, health, money and access can all shape how a day feels. Some are choices; many are partly or entirely outside your control. Reflection should help you notice support, not turn every part of life into a self-improvement project.
Notice without grading
For a few days, ask simple questions:
- When did I feel I had enough energy for what mattered?
- What helped me feel connected or supported?
- Which demands left little room?
- Did movement add something useful, or feel like another obligation?
- Is there something I need help with rather than another personal rule?
You can answer in a sentence or just think about one question. There is no need to track meals, sleep or mood in detail unless that is helpful and safe for you.
Use patterns to change one condition
Suppose evening outings regularly become rushed because dinner has not been planned and everybody is hungry. The useful observation is practical. You might change the outing time, make a simple meal decision earlier, or ask someone to share the evening work. It does not require labelling food as good or bad.
If a pleasant walk with a neighbour is consistently the easiest movement in the week, that matters too. Support is not only about removing problems; it includes protecting what already helps.
For questions specifically about eating and drinking around exercise, use Food and drink around your activity. Persistent fatigue, distress around food or exercise, or health symptoms need individual advice rather than more self-tracking.
Keep reflection proportionate
Some weeks are hard because the circumstances are hard. A reflection sheet cannot create time, safety, housing, money or care. It may still help you name the support you need or decide that a goal should change.
Your next step: choose one moment from the last week when movement fitted well. Name what supported it. Decide whether one part of that support can be present again this week.
