A simple reflection sheet
Use this after one outing, at the end of a week, or when a routine stops making sense. A sentence under each heading is enough. Keep it private unless you choose otherwise.
What happened?
Describe the plan and the reality without grading yourself.
- What did I intend to do?
- What did I actually do?
- What conditions mattered: time, route, weather, company, work, care, sleep or access?
Example: “I planned an easy evening run. Work finished late, so I walked the short lit route with Sam.”
What helped?
Notice one practical or personal support.
- What made beginning easier?
- What helped the effort fit?
- What would I like to keep?
Example: “Having company and a route close to home meant I still got outside.”
What needs changing?
Name a specific friction or concern.
- Was the timing realistic?
- Did the activity match its intended effort?
- Is this a routine issue, a goal issue or something that needs individual advice?
- What can I change, and what is outside my control?
Example: “The planned route is too dark at this time. I need a daylight slot or a different location.”
What is one next decision?
Choose an action, a question or a pause.
- Repeat something that worked.
- Change one condition.
- Check the full plan before progressing.
- Ask a person for practical or professional support.
- Pause and leave the next decision open.
Example: “I will ask Sam about a Saturday morning walk and leave tonight’s missed run missed.”

You do not have to find a lesson in everything. Sometimes the honest record is that the week was hard, the outing was enjoyable, or you do not know yet. Return when another decision becomes clearer.
If you are following a personal plan, session notes belong in Training. Pathway reading progress only records that you read this guide. If you choose to share a separate Journey update, check the audience and include only what you want others to see.
