How it works

One useful choice, tested in real life

October's Monthly Focus invites you to explore small changes that fit your life. You might choose a different familiar route, go at another time, invite someone along or make an outing shorter. Try an idea, notice what happens and decide whether you want to use it again. Different does not have to mean harder.

There are four weekly invitations, beginning with the opening prompt, and a closing reflection. You can repeat an idea, simplify it or keep a familiar approach. Choose what suits your abilities and circumstances. No earlier Monthly Focus experience is needed.

A short response can describe what you tried, what got in the way or what you would like to try next. The dates show when prompts open. You can return to an available prompt and update your response. Every public prompt is free to read; an account lets you save your responses privately and track progress.
